Privacy Policy

Kaedano holds the memories of your most precious days, so we treat your data with the same care. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the rights you have. Kaedano is operated by Quantum Bits Limited, a company registered in Ghana, which is the data controller for the service. We handle personal data in line with the Ghana Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). Questions any time: hello@kaedano.app.

1. What we collect

From hosts (the person who creates a garden):

• •Your email address and, optionally, your WhatsApp number.
• •Event details — name, date, and your garden's link.
• •Your admin password, stored only as a salted PBKDF2 hash — we never store it in plain text and cannot read it.

The guest list you upload: names, party sizes, and optional WhatsApp numbers and email addresses. As the host, you are responsible for having the right to share this information with us for the purpose of running your event.

From guests (people who join a garden):

• •The name you claim on the guest list and, optionally, your WhatsApp number (for notifications and your personal comeback link).
• •The photos, videos and notes you upload.
• •Technical data such as your IP address, used for abuse prevention.

2. Why we use it

• •Running the event gallery — matching guests to the guest list, storing and showing uploads.
• •Sending WhatsApp notifications and comeback links via SMESS, when you opt in.
• •Processing payments via Paystack.
• •Preventing abuse of the service.

That's the whole list. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Who we share it with

Only the providers needed to run the service:

• •Cloudflare — hosting and storage of the site and your media.
• •SMESS (smess.io) — delivery of WhatsApp messages; also operated by Quantum Bits Limited.
• •Paystack — payment processing; Paystack handles your card or Mobile Money details and issues receipts.

4. Who can see the photos

The host chooses the garden's visibility: open by link (anyone with the link can view) or invited guests only. Photos you upload are visible to the other guests of that event according to the setting the host chose. If you are unsure how a garden is set, ask your host before uploading.

5. How long we keep it

• •Free trial (Taste) media is deleted 7 days after the upload window closes.
• •Garden media is kept for as long as the garden's storage is active (including Evergreen renewals). See our Terms for what happens if storage lapses.
• •Deleted items (removed by a host or guest) are purged from our systems within 7 days.
• •Account or garden deletion is available on request — email hello@kaedano.app.

6. Your rights under Act 843

Under the Ghana Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you can ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@kaedano.app and we will respond as the law requires.

7. Your promise when uploading

By uploading photos or videos to a garden, you confirm that you have the right to share them — including the consent of the people who appear in them, where that is needed.

8. Changes and contact
