Terms of Service

Kaedano (kae da no — "remember the day") is a photo-sharing service operated by Quantum Bits Limited, a company registered in Ghana. These terms are the agreement between you and us when you create a garden, upload memories to one, or use kaedano.app in any other way. If anything here is unclear, write to us at hello@kaedano.app — we answer in plain language too.

1. What Kaedano does

A host creates a garden — a private event page at kaedano.app/their-link. Guests scan a QR code at the event, find their name on the host's guest list (or join as walk-ins, if the host allows it), and upload photos and, on the Garden plan, videos into the host's gallery.

• •Photos are compressed on upload to a maximum of about 2560 px (JPEG) so galleries stay fast and storage stays fair.
• •Videos are available on the Garden plan only, up to 80 MB per clip.
• •Optional WhatsApp notifications and personal comeback links are delivered through SMESS (smess.io), a WhatsApp messaging provider also operated by Quantum Bits Limited.

2. Plans, pricing and payments

All prices are in Ghana Cedis (GHS) and are set on our servers — the price shown at checkout is the price charged.

• •Taste (free trial): 1 guest uploader and 5 photos. Uploads close 24 hours after the event date, and trial photos are deleted 7 days after the upload window closes.
• •Garden — 499 GHS, one-time: 100 guest uploaders, unlimited photos, video uploads, and uploads that close 7 days after the event date. Includes 10 GB of storage and 12 months of storage (Evergreen).
• •Uploader top-ups: +50 uploaders 299 GHS · +100 uploaders 499 GHS · +200 uploaders 899 GHS · +500 uploaders 1,999 GHS.
• •Extra storage: 99 GHS per additional 10 GB block.
• •Evergreen renewal: 99 GHS per year per 10 GB block, payable by Mobile Money or card.

Payments are processed by Paystack, which issues your receipt. Upload windows and plan limits are enforced automatically by the service.

3. Storage and Evergreen

Your Garden purchase includes the first 12 months of storage. After that, keeping your gallery online requires an Evergreen renewal (99 GHS per year per 10 GB block). Here is exactly what happens around expiry:

• •We will remind you before your Evergreen storage expires, using the contact details on your account.
• •If Evergreen lapses, your gallery remains available during a 90-day grace period.
• •After the grace period, Quantum Bits Limited may archive or delete the garden's media, after reasonable notice to your contact details.
• •You can export your media at any time before expiry — a bulk download is available in your host dashboard.

4. Your responsibilities as a host

• •Guest list. When you upload a guest list (names, party sizes, and optional WhatsApp numbers or emails), you confirm you have the right to share that information with us for running your event.
• •Privacy setting. You choose whether your gallery is open to anyone with the link or restricted to invited guests only — and you are responsible for choosing the setting that suits your event.
• •Moderation. You may remove any upload from your garden at any time.

5. Acceptable use

Kaedano is a place for memories, so we keep it kind. You may not upload or share content that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights (including copyright), or is abusive, harassing or harmful. Guests who upload photos or videos confirm they have the right to share them. Hosts may remove any upload, and we may suspend gardens that violate these terms.

6. Your content stays yours

You and your guests keep ownership of everything uploaded. You give us only the permission we need to store, process (for example, compressing photos) and display that content within the garden it was uploaded to, so the service can work.

7. Service availability and liability

We work hard to keep Kaedano growing, but the service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim connected with the service is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Ghanaian law.

8. Refunds

Our refund terms are set out in full in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page with a new "last updated" date, and give notice on the site of any significant changes. Continuing to use Kaedano after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Personal data is handled in line with the Ghana Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) — see our Privacy Policy. Questions, notices and requests: hello@kaedano.app.
